Emily "Emil" Elyse (they/them) is an artist and analyst from the West Coast with a decade of work experience in the public sector. They earned a Master’s in Public Administration with a public policy focus from San Francisco State University in 2021. Based in Reno, NV, they manage the public funding portfolio for a Harlem-based workforce development agency serving re-entry populations nationwide.
After a decade behind the scenes in non-profits, providing service delivery analysis and program data management oversight, they've shifted into roles more directly supportive of frontline staff. Great ideas need frontline voices—public service succeeds when staff help shape the plan.
In 2020, they began working for a Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) provider operating in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco, CA. This work took them to Reno, NV where they oversaw the management of the region's Coordinated Entry system and led it's Homelessness Point-in-Time Count for two consecutive years. They're a data jock and systems nerd, dedicated to working collaboratively with community to build solutions and support networks that serve the greatest good.
